National Account Manager

£40,000 – £60,000 DOE

Fully remote

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a National Account Manager to join a company that produces everyday consumer goods (pet/home appliances/plastic storage). They need someone who will contribute to the expansion of the UK market by acquiring new customers and driving sales growth.

 

What you’ll do:

As a National Account Manager, you will need to develop and executive a strategic sales plan. Other duties include:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the UK retail sector
  • Create and present the UK sales strategy and budget to management, including forecasts by customer, product category, and pricing
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with sales and margin objectives
  • Oversee the execution and compliance of contracts and commercial terms with retail partners
  • Plan and coordinate promotional activities tailored to customer segments and market trends
  • Track and analyse sales performance regularly, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales admin, logistics, marketing) to ensure smooth delivery, resolve issues, and support customer satisfaction
  • Gather market intelligence on customer needs, product trends, and service expectations, and recommend actions to enhance market position

 

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 years+ experience selling consumer/household products to large UK retailers
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with a proven sales track record
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong commercial acumen
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
  • Customer-focused with excellent relationship management skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must hold a valid UK driver’s license with a clean driving record
