Overview
A private family office based in West London is seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to help oversee a significant and globally diversified portfolio.
The successful candidate will deliver accurate, financial reporting and insightful analysis that provides the Leadership team with a clear, consolidated view of investment performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed investment reports and performance summaries.
- Deliver monthly dashboards and detailed quarterly reviews outlining performance, risk exposure, liquidity, and capital allocation.
- Maintain up-to-date investment policies, legal entity records, and the governance calendar to ensure smooth oversight and compliance.
- Evaluate cross-portfolio trends, correlations, and liquidity positions.
- Produce forward-looking analysis and scenario modelling to guide strategic portfolio decisions.
- Prepare presentation materials and documentation for meetings with banks, investment partners, and advisers. Record key actions, monitor progress, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Work closely with accountants, legal professionals and other external stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Track capital commitments, distributions, and exposures across currencies, credit, and geographies. Maintain a forward cash-flow and liquidity schedule.
Profile
- 8–15 years’ experience gained within a family office, private investment firm, or private bank.
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret complex data and produce concise, insightful commentary.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Power BI for financial modelling, data integration, and portfolio analytics.
- Sound understanding of investment instruments, risk assessment, and performance measurement methodologies
- Able to liaise confidently with accountants, lawyers, and private banks
- Highly organised, discreet, and self-directed, with the ability to operate effectively within a small, confidential, and high-trust environment.
