Part-time Senior Bookkeeper

Fully Remote (candidates must be based in the UK)

Permanent, Part Time - 16 hours/ week

£26,000 - £35,000 pro-rata DOE

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a scaling accountancy practice with a portfolio of hospitality clients including restaurants, bars and theatres.  The company is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper with payroll experience to deliver bookkeeping and payroll services to their clients.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Run fortnightly and monthly payroll for 15-200 staff across multiple entities
  • Manage all HMRC reporting
  • Post payroll journals to Xero and reconcile payroll control accounts
  • Assist with wider month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, intercompany and cost-centre allocations
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready back-up for HMRC and pension compliance
  • Resolve any queries or discrepancies quickly and professionally

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Prior experience in a bookkeeping/payroll position, preferably within the hospitality sector
  • 2 years payroll experience (preferably multi-site or bureau background)
  • Strong understanding of PAYE, NI, AE, tronc/tips, and variable pay environments
  • Proficiency using Excel, Xero and BrightPay (or similar)
  • Good organisation and communication skills
