Bookkeeper / Accountant

About the role:
A leading global consulting firm with a growing presence in the UAE is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper / Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate reporting for the Dubai office. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment and enjoys working within an international team.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. 
- 
Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and management reports. 
- 
Manage invoicing, expense tracking, and payment processing in coordination with regional finance teams. 
- 
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. 
- 
Assist in preparing audit documentation and liaising with external auditors or consultants when required. 
- 
Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and maintain compliance with internal financial policies. 
- 
Ensure all accounting practices comply with UAE regulations and corporate standards. 
- 
Coordinate with HR and operations for payroll, employee reimbursements, and vendor payments. 
- 
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency. 
Requirements:
- 
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred). 
- 
3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment. 
- 
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and UAE VAT compliance. 
- 
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, or similar) and advanced Excel skills. 
- 
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and organizational ability. 
- 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
- 
Discretion, reliability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
