6-Month Temporary Contract (Immediate Start, Potential for Extension or Internalization)

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Zurich on a 6-month temporary contract, with the possibility of extension or permanent internalization. The ideal candidate will be fluent in German, have hands-on experience with Abacus accounting software, and possess strong Excel skills.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is ready to contribute immediately to a fast-paced finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and efficiently
• Prepare financial reports and analysis using Excel and Abacus
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with Swiss accounting standards
• Collaborate closely with internal departments and external partners

Requirements:

• Fluency in German and English (spoken and written);
• Proven experience with Abacus accounting software
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis)
• Relevant accounting or finance experience (Swiss GAAP knowledge preferred)
• Organized, accurate, and able to meet deadlines under pressure
• Available to start immediately
