Job Description
Position Summary:
The Wardrobe Maid is responsible for the meticulous care, organization, and maintenance of the principal’s clothing, footwear, and accessories. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism to ensure all wardrobe items are maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in luxury garment care, fabric handling, and wardrobe management within a private household or luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Wardrobe Management & Organization

Maintain an organized, catalogued wardrobe system by season, occasion, and color.

Rotate clothing and accessories according to season and travel requirements.

Conduct regular inventory checks and report any damages or missing items.

Garment & Fabric Care

Handle fine fabrics and couture garments with expert care, including delicate washing, steaming, pressing, and minor repairs.

Manage dry cleaning schedules and liaise with external laundry or couture care providers.

Ensure clothing is always pristine, wrinkle-free, and ready for wear.

Packing & Travel Preparation

Prepare and pack wardrobes for travel, ensuring all items are coordinated and complete with accessories and footwear.

Unpack and organize clothing at destinations when traveling with the principal.

Track items in transit to prevent loss or damage.

Styling & Wardrobe Support

Assist the principal or stylist in outfit coordination and daily wardrobe selections.

Maintain visual presentation of wardrobe areas, ensuring items are displayed and stored beautifully.

Ensure accessories such as jewelry, handbags, and shoes are stored and maintained appropriately.

Maintenance & Upkeep

Oversee repairs, alterations, and tailoring as needed.

Manage wardrobe supplies, including hangers, garment bags, storage boxes, and shoe care products.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dressing rooms and closets.

Exercise utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Communicate effectively with other household staff, ensuring smooth coordination of daily routines.
