Temporary Conference Planner – Global Research and Advisory Firm
Starting 5th January – 31st December 2026
Remote with 1 day a week in the Surrey Office (Near Heathrow)

8:30 – 5:00 pm
£18.50/hour + holiday pay

 

A fantastic opportunity has for a confident, organised, and people-focused Event/Conference Planner to join a prestigious global business information and advisory firm.

This ongoing temp role involves supporting the planning and execution of expert-led events, conferences at high-profile conferences, both in person and virtually.

They are looking for someone with previous experience both virtual and in-person conferences and events.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the end-to-end operational delivery of virtual events, including registration setup, logistics coordination, and live execution.
  • Liaise with internal partners to gather event specifications and ensure smooth delivery.
  • Train stakeholders on virtual event tools, registration systems and best practices.
  • Find new ways to improve virtual attendee engagement and enhance the event experience.
  • Drive workflow efficiencies for high-volume events.
  • Collaborate with global conferences teams on processes, improvements and consistency.
  • Support both UK and international conferences — with travel mainly between February and June (passport required).
  • Take on ad-hoc projects to evolve virtual event products and operations.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Minimum 2+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with virtual and in-person events, conferences, or virtual event delivery.
  • Confident supporting onsite or virtual conference work.
  • Tech savvy, calm, professional and composed when working under pressure.
  • A proactive problem solver who works well with limited direction or ambiguous information.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Highly organised with great time management and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Must live within commutable distance of Egham and be available onsite 1 day per week.
  • Flexible and happy to travel to UK-based conferences (around 10–15%)
