Overview

A leading UK organisation within the Business Services sector is seeking a highly capable, detail-oriented, and commercially minded Management Accountant to support the finance function across multiple divisions of the Group.

 

This role is ideal for a qualified, part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT), or newly qualified accountant with strong analytical ability, excellent financial reporting skills, and ideally experience working with NetSuite. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate, timely, and insightful management accounts while supporting wider financial operations and business decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for the Group
  • Complete journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Prepare departmental reports and packs ahead of panel meetings across all divisions
  • Partner with operations, sales, and departmental leaders to explain financial performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management processes
  • Prepare board-level schedules, commentary, and financial insights
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet
  • Support system enhancements and process improvements, particularly within NetSuite
  • Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, reporting, and financial processes
  • Assist with audits, year-end processes, and financial governance activities
  • Ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and alignment across the Group

 

Candidate Profile

  • Experience as a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, or a strong Analyst ready to step up
  • Experience preparing management accounts or key month-end components and ideally exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or cashflow management
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
  • Experience in a fast-paced, multi-entity or multi-division environment
  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/AAT)
  • Ideally you will have strong NetSuite experience
  • Experience in business services, professional services, real estate, or similar sectors will be highly beneficial.
