The Director of Hospitality is a senior yet highly hands-on leadership role that builds upon the responsibilities of a Chief Stewardess while extending across multiple environments and properties. The position requires a service-led professional who is fully operational and guest-facing, spending approximately 70% of their time onboard and 30% across off-board or hosted environments. This is not a desk-based role; the Director of Hospitality is expected to lead from the front, actively delivering service and setting standards through daily involvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interior Quality, Housekeeping Operations & Guest Presentation

Overall accountability for interior condition, cleanliness, and presentation standards.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs covering cleaning routines, interior set-ups, and laundry and wardrobe care.
  • Supervise detailing of guest areas, crew spaces, and all laundry operations.
  • Maintain specialist knowledge of luxury and delicate materials and their appropriate care.
  • Oversee guest wardrobe organization and clothing maintenance.

2. Hospitality Service & Guest Experience

  • Serve as the primary ambassador for hospitality and interior service.
  • Personally deliver and oversee exceptional service for dining, beverages, and private events.
  • Lead service execution, including wine service, cocktail preparation, tablescapes, and themed or bespoke experiences.
  • Handle guest feedback and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Provide concierge-level support, including itinerary planning and reservations.
  • Maintain and regularly update detailed guest preference profiles.

3. Inventory, Provisioning & Financial Oversight

  • Manage all hospitality-related inventories, including uniforms, provisions, beverages, cleaning supplies, and interior items.
  • Oversee provisioning for crew, guests, and hospitality operations.
  • Demonstrate strong cost awareness, budget tracking, and financial accountability.
  • Maintain structured job lists and operational schedules.

4. Leadership, Training & Team Culture

  • Lead hospitality and interior teams across vessel and property environments.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between departments.
  • Establish service benchmarks and ensure consistent performance excellence.
  • Design and deliver training programs to support skills development and service standards.
  • Foster a supportive, professional team culture while maintaining boundaries and discretion.
  • Manage schedules and service coverage requirements.

5. Multi-Location & Enterprise-Level Hospitality Oversight

  • Ensure consistent hospitality standards across vessels, residences, and hosted events within the UAE.
  • Provide on-site hospitality support during private events at family residences.
  • Travel within the UAE as required to support operations and guests.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy, reporting to the PA to the Principal.
