Job Description

Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

A privately held real estate development company is seeking a Chief Investment Officer to join its executive leadership team. This appointment is suited to a senior investment professional with a proven ability to originate, structure, and close complex real estate transactions in the UAE and wider GCC.

Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, the CIO will play a central role in shaping capital strategy, securing investment partnerships, and executing high-value development and joint venture transactions.

This role offers genuine influence at board level, exposure to a high-quality development pipeline, and the opportunity to participate meaningfully in value creation. The compensation structure is highly competitive and includes performance-linked bonus, deal based incentives and potential equity.

The Mandate

  • Lead capital raising initiatives of global equity investors, family offices, HNWI, institutional investors and strategic partners
  • Originate and execute joint ventures and SPV-based investment structures
  • Oversee investment feasibility, development pro formas, and risk-adjusted return analysis
  • Act as lead negotiator on investment partnerships and strategic transactions
  • Represent the organisation in boardrooms, investor meetings, private capital discussions, investor pitches and roadshows.
  • Advise the Board regarding market conditions, portfolio strategy, and long-term growth

The Profile

  • 15+ years of senior experience in real estate investment, development, or capital markets
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing and closing transactions in Dubai and the GCC region.
  • Possess well established relationships with family offices, private investors, and regional capital providers
  • Deep expertise in JV structuring, SPVs, and complex deal governance
  • Strong commercial judgement and discretion, with a strategic mindset
  • An executive presence with high levels of integrity and the ability to inspire investor confidence.
