Chief Investment Officer (CIO)
A privately held real estate development company is seeking a Chief Investment Officer to join its executive leadership team. This appointment is suited to a senior investment professional with a proven ability to originate, structure, and close complex real estate transactions in the UAE and wider GCC.
Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, the CIO will play a central role in shaping capital strategy, securing investment partnerships, and executing high-value development and joint venture transactions.
This role offers genuine influence at board level, exposure to a high-quality development pipeline, and the opportunity to participate meaningfully in value creation. The compensation structure is highly competitive and includes performance-linked bonus, deal based incentives and potential equity.
The Mandate
- Lead capital raising initiatives of global equity investors, family offices, HNWI, institutional investors and strategic partners
- Originate and execute joint ventures and SPV-based investment structures
- Oversee investment feasibility, development pro formas, and risk-adjusted return analysis
- Act as lead negotiator on investment partnerships and strategic transactions
- Represent the organisation in boardrooms, investor meetings, private capital discussions, investor pitches and roadshows.
- Advise the Board regarding market conditions, portfolio strategy, and long-term growth
The Profile
- 15+ years of senior experience in real estate investment, development, or capital markets
- Demonstrated track record of establishing and closing transactions in Dubai and the GCC region.
- Possess well established relationships with family offices, private investors, and regional capital providers
- Deep expertise in JV structuring, SPVs, and complex deal governance
- Strong commercial judgement and discretion, with a strategic mindset
- An executive presence with high levels of integrity and the ability to inspire investor confidence.
