We are seeking an experienced, Housekeeper with strong cooking ability to join a well-established private household in Wimbledon Village. This is a permanent rota position, working in rotation with an existing Housekeeper and providing day-to-day support to an elderly male principal who lives independently.

The household consists of a single male principal, two Housekeepers and a full-time private Chef. There are no resident pets, however a Giant Schnauzer visits occasionally from the main family home, so candidates must be pet-friendly and have no allergies.

This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on cooking. The successful candidate must be confident, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about food, with the willingness to support and learn from the existing Chef. The Housekeeper will be responsible for covering the Chef on weekends and during periods of annual leave, so confidence in cooking independently is essential.

Duties will include maintaining the property to a high standard, overseeing daily housekeeping and household management, laundry and wardrobe care, and working collaboratively with other members of household staff. The role also involves supporting the Chef during the week when required, taking full responsibility for meal preparation at weekends and during Chef absences, and ensuring the household runs in a calm, organised, and respectful manner at all times.

The position operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off rota, working alongside a second Housekeeper. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, with extended hours at weekends from 7:00am to 7:00pm when covering the Chef.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within private households or luxury hospitality environments, with candidates from luxury ski chalet or high-end hospitality backgrounds particularly welcomed. They will be a confident cook, professional, discreet, reliable, and comfortable working as part of a small, close-knit household team. Being pet-friendly is essential.

The role offers a salary of £65,000 per annum.
