Location: Private Farm Property, Rome, Georgia
March 2026 – August 2026
Full-time, live-in
Housing: On-site housing provided
Transportation: Personal vehicle required; vehicle is not provided.
Salary: $80k - 100k p.a. (full-time equivalent)
Tiger Recruitment is seeking a highly responsible and experienced Property and Farm Manager to oversee a large, several-hundred-acre working farm property from March through August 2026. This individual will serve as the primary on-site caretaker during this period and will be responsible for the daily welfare of all animals, gardens, trees, cabins, and overall property operations.
This individual will also be responsible for overseeing and collaborating with three on-site team members.
This position is ideal for someone who is deeply respectful of land stewardship and animal welfare, comfortable working independently, making sound judgment calls, and responding promptly to daily needs and unexpected issues.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Animal Care (Daily – 7 Days/Week)
- Feed, water, and care for all livestock (donkeys, chickens, goats, guinea fowl, pigs)
- Monitor health and behavior; identify illness, injury, or stress
- Administer basic care and promptly report veterinary concerns
- Maintain clean, safe living spaces (stalls, coops, shelters, fencing)
- Manage seasonal needs: heat, weather protection, predator awareness
- Ensure humane, consistent, and ethical care
Beekeeping Support
- Assist with basic beekeeping tasks as needed
- Observe hive health and report abnormalities
- Follow safety protocols when handling bees
Gardens, Orchards & Land Stewardship
- Support maintenance of vegetable gardens, orchards, and planted areas
- Assist with watering, weeding, pruning, harvesting, and pest monitoring
- Participate in seasonal planting and garden upkeep
- Flag plant health issues proactively
Guest Hosting & Property Readiness
- Prepare cabins and shared spaces for guest arrivals (cleaning/staging)
- Keep property welcoming, safe, and presentable
- Greet guests and provide basic orientation
- Address guest needs calmly and professionally
- Monitor guest areas and report issues promptly
- Reset cabins and common areas after departures
- Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness
Property & Cabin Maintenance
- Perform routine checks on cabins, outbuildings, and farm structures
- Assist with small projects and general improvements
- Monitor structures for safety or repair needs
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces
Property Oversight & Security
- Serve as on-site caretaker and main point of responsibility
- Monitor gates, fencing, and access points
- Identify and mitigate safety hazards
- Maintain presence, accountability, and stewardship
WHO YOU ARE
- Prior experience with farm work, animal care, or land stewardship
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and integrity
- Comfort with physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic maintenance and hand-tool skills
- Observant, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Willingness to live on-site and commit fully for the duration of the term
- Familiarity with gardening, orchards, or permaculture practices
- Beekeeping experience (or willingness to learn)
- First aid or animal health experience
- Strong work ethic and self-discipline
- Deep respect for animals, land, and property
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Clear and timely communicator
