Managing Consultant-Private Desk
Job Description
Tiger Private is an established, high-performing Private Recruitment desk based in London’s West End, specialising in Private Household, Family Office & Yacht Crew recruitment.
We are seeking an experienced Managing Consultant to join our team, ideally from a managerial recruitment background within the private sector, or alternatively from a senior managerial role supporting a private family, family office, yacht, or luxury chalet operation, looking to transition into recruitment.
This is a senior, hands-on role combining billing excellence, leadership, client relationship management, and business development, with scope to shape the future growth of the Tiger Private brand.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Performance
- Consistently deliver high-quality recruitment outcomes in line with Tiger standards
- Achieve or exceed set individual monthly target
- Support the team to ensure that all Consultants are consistently meeting/exceeding their individual and team targets
- Maintain excellence across all day-to-day recruitment processes
Leadership & Team Support
- Act as a senior figure within the Private desk and wider business
- Deputise for HOD when required
- Hold and attend team meetings
- Be a key point of contact on the desk for the Senior Management team
- Mentor and train Recruitment and Senior Recruitment Consultants
- Support hiring and onboarding of new consultants
- Lead by example in performance, professionalism, and conduct
Client & Business Development
- Manage and grow key private clients, acting as a trusted advisor
- Proactively develop business through relationship-building and consultative selling
- Provide market insight, salary benchmarking, and strategic hiring advice
- Influence and guide clients to maintain control of recruitment processes
- Achieve KPIs in line with Tiger’s Business Development Guidelines
Candidate Generation & Care
- Write and advertise roles to attract top-tier private-sector talent
- Conduct in-depth candidate interviews
- Build long-term candidate relationships and referral networks
- Utilise systems effectively for targeted candidate searches
Innovation & Brand Growth
- Contribute ideas around marketing, PR, events, and technology
- Lead or participate in business-wide projects beyond day-to-day recruitment
- Explore new commercial and enterprise opportunities under the Tiger umbrella

Skills & Experience
- Proven recruitment experience with a strong billing track record, or senior managerial experience within a private household, family office, yacht, or luxury hospitality environment
- Demonstrable leadership, mentoring, or people-management experience
- Commercially astute with strong client-facing and influencing skills
- Calm under pressure, highly organised, and able to multitask effectively
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation and relationship-building skills
- Energetic, driven, and solutions-focused
