HR Assistant at Prestigious International School

North London

9-5 pm

£33,000 - £35,000 + benefits (including extra holidays during school breaks)

Term time plus additional weeks during the summer holidays
Maternity Contract

We are looking for a proactive and driven HR Assistant to join the Human Resources team at a leading international school in North London. Reporting to senior HR colleagues, you will provide efficient and reliable administrative and generalist HR support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a collaborative and inclusive environment and has a strong work-ethic, muck-in attitude, is tech-savvy with a strong eye for detail.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including maintaining accurate personnel records
  • Manage pre-employment checks, onboarding documentation and induction processes
  • Support safeguarding-related administration and compliance monitoring
  • Maintain HR systems and employee data, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
  • Assist with recruitment administration, including posting vacancies, managing applications and coordinating interviews
  • Monitor mandatory training and documentation requirements
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries from staff and external parties
  • Support the administration of employee benefits and HR processes as required

Who you are:

  • Previous experience in an HR or administrative role within the educational sector or similar regulated industry
  • Proactive, personable, confident, with a can-do mindset
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Tech savvy and someone who can pick including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and database systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable

  • Experience using an HR information system
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or above
