Financial Controller

Location: Bahrain
Salary: BD 2,500–2,600 per month (approximately USD 6,600–6,900)

This role is open only to candidates currently based in Bahrain or the wider GCC. Applications from candidates outside the region will not be considered.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join an investment focused organisation with exposure across multiple sectors. The role will oversee the full financial control function, deliver accurate and timely reporting, support investment related financial analysis, and ensure strong governance and compliance.

The successful candidate will be hands on, commercially minded, and comfortable operating across both core financial control and investment facing finance activities, working closely with senior management to support strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Reporting

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow

• Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reports

• Track, analyse, and report on budget variances

• Manage month end and year end close processes

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead budget preparation, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

• Forecast future financial performance

• Provide senior management with clear, accurate financial insights

• Oversee all FP&A activities

Investment & Portfolio Support

• Support financial due diligence on investment opportunities

• Analyse financial projections and assumptions

• Monitor financial performance across investments or portfolio entities

• Provide financial input on acquisitions, disposals, and strategic initiatives

Compliance, Audit & Governance

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax, and reporting standards

• Oversee audits and manage relationships with external auditors

• Supervise and develop the accounts team

• Maintain strong internal controls and governance frameworks

Candidate Profile:

Essential

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller / Senior Finance Manager

• Background in investment firms, family offices, PE/VC, or multi-entity groups

• Strong technical accounting and hands-on control experience

• Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis skills

• Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance

Desirable

• Exposure to venture capital or private equity

• Experience supporting investment decision-making and transactions

• Experience across multiple sectors or portfolio businesses
