Family & House Manager-New Forest, Hampshire (Live-Out)
A private family is seeking an experienced and proactive Family & House Manager for their weekend residence in the New Forest. This is a dynamic, hands-on role combining high-level household management with supportive oversight of two teenage children.
Schedule: Friday–Sunday (approx. 9:30am–7:30pm) plus two weekdays (with flexibility when the family is not in residence).
Start: March 2026
Location: New Forest, Hampshire
Accommodation: Live-out (work vehicle provided)
Key Responsibilities
House & Estate Management
- Oversee smooth day-to-day running of the property, ensuring it is guest-ready at all times
- Prepare the home for weekend arrivals
- Manage household staff and coordinate contractors, maintenance, and service providers
- Oversee inventories, supplies, utilities, accounts, and expense tracking
- Liaise with grounds team and external suppliers
- Coordinate logistics with the family’s wider household team
Family Support
- Provide warm, reliable support to two teenagers, assisting with routines, activities, and local integration
- Manage diaries, appointments, and scheduling
- Provide driving support as needed
- Assist with organising activities, seasonal events, and travel preparations
- Oversee care arrangements for the family pet
Personal & Event Coordination
- Support wardrobe organisation and specialist services
- Plan and manage small gatherings and private events
- Source trusted local suppliers and experiences
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in private household or estate management
- Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Confident managing staff, contractors, and service providers
- Warm, approachable manner with teenagers
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexible and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Desirable: Background in hospitality or luxury service, project coordination experience, and familiarity with the New Forest area.
