Temporary Conference Planner – Global Research and Advisory Firm
Starting ASAP until end of December 2026
Remote with 1 day a week in the Surrey Office every fortnight as a minimum
8:30 – 5:00 pm
£18.48/hour + holiday pay
A fantastic opportunity has for a confident, organised, and people-focused Event/Conference Planner to join a prestigious global business information and advisory firm.
This ongoing temp role involves supporting the planning and execution of expert-led events, conferences at high-profile conferences, both in person and virtually.
They are looking for someone with previous experience both virtual and in-person conferences and events.

What you’ll do:
- Manage the end-to-end operational delivery of virtual events, including registration setup, stakeholder coordination, and live execution
- Support the delivery of onsite conferences across the UK and internationally
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather event requirements and ensure seamless execution
- Train stakeholders on event platforms, registration systems, and best practices (e.g. Zoom/Webex)
- Identify and implement new ways to enhance virtual attendee engagement
- Drive operational efficiencies across a high volume of events
- Collaborate with global conference teams on process improvements and consistency
- Support event-related projects to evolve virtual event products and workflows
Who you are:
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience, ideally within conference or event delivery
- Experience supporting both virtual and in-person events
- Confident working onsite and across live event environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual event platforms (Zoom and/or Webex)
- Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working with limited direction
- Calm under pressure with strong judgement and professionalism
- Tech-savvy with the ability to manage multiple systems and tools
Key details:
- Must be within commutable distance of Egham (1 day onsite per fortnight, 4 days remote)
- Involves travel to UK and international conferences
- Active passport required and willingness to travel
