Tiger Private is looking for a warm, capable and down-to-earth person to join a well established household on a large working rural estate in Gloucester. 

This is a varied, hands-on role, assisting the other household staff, that will suit someone who takes pride in a well-run home, loves cooking good food and is genuinely happy with rural life. You will work alongside a friendly team of estate staff, fitting into the rhythm of the household and keeping things running smoothly day to day. The working week runs Friday to Tuesday, with Wednesday and Thursday as regular days off, and some flexibility during busier periods.

Cooking is at the heart of the position. You will prepare daily meals for the family and guests, from relaxed suppers to assisting the chef for more formal occasions, using fresh seasonal produce and planning menus with the household manager. On shoot days and estate events you will help with catering alongside the wider team.

On the housekeeping side you will work with other staff to keep the main house in good order, covering cleaning, laundry, pressing and linen, with care taken around fine furnishings, antiques and silverware.

The pets are very much part of life on the estate, so a genuine love of animals is important. This means daily feeding, walking and general wellbeing, with the occasional vet appointment. You will also work closely with the gamekeeper, gardeners and house manager, run errands and liaise with contractors as needed. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

You will be organised, discreet, good humoured and happy to turn your hand to whatever the day requires. 

Comfortable live-in accommodation is provided on the estate.
