Overview
We are partnering with a growing global PE firm to recruit a talented and qualified accountant into their UK Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a dynamic and collaborative environment, supporting the delivery of all core Business-as-Usual (BAU) finance activities across the UK entities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly trial balances, management accounts, and month-end MI reporting packs
- Support the preparation of quarterly group reporting submissions and Board packs
- Prepare and submit quarterly regulatory returns for regulated entities
- Assist with statutory financial statement preparation and year-end audit processes
- Manage treasury-related activities, including:
- Cashflow forecasting and liquidity management
- Invoicing and payment processing
- General Partner share management
- Debt facilities, drawdowns, and intercompany loans
- Coach and support junior finance team members to ensure high-quality BAU delivery
- Assist in the design, implementation, and enhancement of financial reporting controls and processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
Candidate Profile:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years’ finance experience, including approximately 2 years post-qualification
- Prior experience within a corporate or investment management environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, FRS, UK regulatory reporting, and statutory financial statements
- Experience preparing management accounts, trial balances, and month end reporting
- Experience reviewing statutory accounts and supporting audit processes
- Familiarity with SAP and Concur is advantageous
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach
