Compliance Manager, Executive Search – HYBRID working offered
£40-50k per annum
Beautiful offices in the City of London
9am – 6pm (flexibility / condensed hours can be arranged)
Our client, a highly respected executive search firm based in London, is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join the business on an interim basis with an immediate start.
Operating across international markets and advising leading organisations on senior-level appointments, the firm has built a strong reputation for professionalism, discretion, and client service. Due to an immediate business requirement, they are now looking to appoint a hands-on legal and compliance professional to support the organisation through to at least the end of August.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the company’s legal and compliance function, ensuring the business continues to operate within all relevant legal and regulatory frameworks while supporting day-to-day commercial operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Carry out Right to Work and compliance packs for the entire interim workforce, including full referencing, education checks, proof of address etc.
- Use external checking services to create, track and chase background checks
- Ensure compliance with UK regulatory requirements, including IR35, GDPR and employment-related legislation
- Advise senior management on legal risk, governance, and compliance matters
- Maintain and update internal policies and compliance procedures
- Conduct compliance monitoring, audits, and risk assessments
- Support data protection and privacy compliance initiatives
- Liaise with external legal advisors where required
- Provide practical compliance guidance to internal stakeholders
WHO YOU ARE:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced compliance professional with previous experience of working within either executive search or recruitment.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of UK legal and regulatory frameworks
- Experience handling commercial contracts and compliance matters
- Sound understanding of GDPR, IR35 and data privacy obligations
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive and pragmatic approach
