Job Description
UAE Nationals are required to join a leading financial services organisation in the DIFC. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in market surveillance, regulatory compliance, financial markets or risk management, who are passionate about protecting market integrity and contributing to the development of a well-established company with a global reputation. You will monitor trading activity, identifying potential market abuse, overseeing issuer disclosure obligations, and supporting market infrastructure, including exchanges and trading venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor trading activity to identify potential market abuse and suspicious trading behaviour.
- Utilise market surveillance systems and analytical tools to review trading patterns and investigate anomalies.
- Support the monitoring of issuer disclosure obligations and ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met.
- Contribute to the risk assessment of exchanges, trading venues, and other market infrastructure.
- Prepare management reports, regulatory analysis, and market intelligence for senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of regulatory policies, guidance and practices.
- Analyse emerging market trends, products, and risks.
- Build strong working relationships with local and international regulatory bodies and industry participants.
- Support knowledge sharing, training initiatives, and continuous improvement across the division.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years' experience within financial services regulation, compliance, market surveillance, risk management, or a regulated financial institution.
- A strong understanding of financial markets, securities trading, market infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience analysing trading activity, market conduct, or financial market risks.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to prepare clear reports, policy papers, and professional written communications.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic regulatory environment.
