Job Description

A financial services organisation in the DIFC is seeking an experienced Corporate Communications Director to lead its corporate affairs, communications, reputation and stakeholder engagement strategy. You will lead a small team and work closely with the CEO, Executive Committee and Board, as well as senior governmental, financial services and media stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the Corporate Affairs strategy, aligned with organisational objectives and the wider priorities of Dubai and the UAE.
  • Lead corporate communications, media relations, digital and social media, internal communications, events and thought leadership.
  • Oversee executive profiling, content, speeches, presentations and external communications.
  • Lead crisis communications, reputation, brand and CSR initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with government bodies, regulators, financial institutions, investors, media and senior stakeholders.
  • Establish KPIs and monitor brand and reputation impact.
  • Lead, develop and performance manage a team.
  • Prepare strategic papers and reports for senior leadership and the Board.
  • Drive continuous improvement, change and best practice across the function.

Essential Criteria

  • A mandatory 12+ years' of professional experience in Corporate Affairs C Communications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Media, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience within a multinational, corporate or government entity or a policy-focused organisation.
  • Both public and private sector experience is essential.
  • Significant financial services exposure.
  • Strong experience across communications, media, digital, social media, events and thought leadership.
  • Proven crisis communications, reputation and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience engaging with government and regulatory bodies at senior level.
  • Proven people leadership and team management experience is mandatory.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and analytical capability.
  • Ability to manage complex, high-profile projects and deliver to demanding deadlines.
