Vessel: 2025 Sunreef Power Catamaran, 299 GRT
Cruising Schedule: 8 months active cruising / 4 months standby
Tiger Private is seeking an experienced, creative and highly professional Private Yacht Chef to join a 100ft Sunreef Power Catamaran, cooking for a private couple and delivering an exceptional standard of cuisine throughout the yacht’s Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to join a strictly private yacht programme, creating bespoke menus tailored to the owners’ preferences, with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients, presentation and a personalised dining experience.
The yacht is scheduled to be collected in Cannes in November 2026 and will operate across the Mediterranean and Caribbean, with approximately five months cruising in the Med, three months in the Caribbean and four months on standby. The vessel is preparing for registration under the British Virgin Islands (BVI) flag.
The owners value discretion, professionalism, mutual respect and a high standard of onboard service. The successful candidate will take responsibility for all aspects of the galley, from menu planning and provisioning to food preparation, dietary requirements and maintaining impeccable hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
-
Create varied, high-quality menus tailored to the owners’ tastes, preferences and dietary requirements.
-
Prepare exceptional cuisine using fresh, seasonal ingredients, adapting menus to the Mediterranean and Caribbean locations.
-
Manage provisioning, budgeting, stock control and galley inventory.
-
Maintain impeccable food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation within the galley.
-
Plan meals and provisioning efficiently around the yacht’s itinerary and availability of local ingredients.
-
Maintain a professional, flexible and discreet approach at all times.
Key Requirements
-
Proven experience as a Chef aboard private yachts or within a comparable high-end private household environment.
-
Strong culinary skills and the ability to produce varied, high-quality cuisine.
-
Excellent menu planning, provisioning and galley management skills.
-
A flexible, organised and self-sufficient approach to working onboard.
-
Absolute discretion and respect for the owners’ privacy. A comprehensive NDA must be signed before joining.
-
Strictly non-smoking and zero-drug tolerance onboard, with limited personal phone use while on duty.
-
A valid passport with at least two years remaining.
-
Relevant maritime training and food safety qualifications, as required for the position.
Package & Benefits
-
Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
-
Stable, year-round employment.
-
Eight months of active cruising and four months on standby.
-
Flexible off-season breaks, anticipated around October–November and March–April, subject to operational requirements.
-
43 days of paid leave per year, inclusive of 30 days’ annual leave and 13 public holidays.
-
A supportive private programme that values crew wellbeing and work-life balance.
Subject to the yacht’s schedule, operational requirements, owner approval, insurance and flag-state requirements, there may also be an opportunity for crew to host family or friends onboard for a week. This is a discretionary benefit rather than a guaranteed entitlement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, adaptable and discreet Chef seeking a long-term role on a private yacht, travelling between the Mediterranean and Caribbean while delivering a highly personalised culinary experience.
