Job Description

Team Assistant

Location: West End, London
Working Pattern: Full-time, office-based, five days per week
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (DOE)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised and enthusiastic Team Assistant to join a tight-knit team at a growing venture capital firm.

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the Operations team and the wider business across administration, office management, finance, compliance and events. You'll be the person who helps keep everything running smoothly, taking ownership of the day-to-day details while pitching in wherever the team needs support. It's a friendly, collaborative environment with a great team culture, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and wants to make a real difference. No two days will be the same. You'll have the opportunity to work across different areas of the business, get involved in projects such as ESG reporting and AI workflows, and develop a broad understanding of how a venture capital firm operates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day assistance across the business, helping with ad hoc tasks, coordinating requests and ensuring the wider team has what it needs to work effectively.
  • Organising internal and external meetings, coordinating diaries and managing meeting logistics for senior team members.
  • Helping to maintain a well-organised office, liaising with the office provider, managing supplies, welcoming visitors, and resolving day-to-day office issues.
  • Supporting invoice processing, monitoring finance inboxes, and helping ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting with compliance processes, supporting the Operations team with routine requests and projects.
  • Helping coordinate the annual ESG reporting exercise and supporting wider operational initiatives.
  • Providing logistical support for company events, including guest lists and on-the-day coordination.
  • Helping the team make better use of technology, exploring AI tools and supporting the development of workflows that improve efficiency.
  • Getting involved wherever needed, from organising team events and offsites to helping the investment team with research administration and keeping information organised.

About You

You're a natural all-rounder who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and takes pride in making things happen behind the scenes. You're proactive, resourceful and happy to roll up your sleeves, whether that means managing an important administrative task or spotting something around the office that needs doing.

  • Highly proactive approach, anticipating what needs doing and take ownership of tasks from start to finish.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities, approaching challenges with a positive, practical attitude.
  • Confident picking up new tech systems and platforms and enjoy finding ways to make processes more efficient.
  • Curious about how AI can be used to improve everyday workflows and are keen to explore practical applications.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively, building relationships and contributing to a positive office culture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to exercise good judgement and handle information accurately and discreetly.
  • Previous experience in an administrative, team assistant, office management or operations support role would be beneficial.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative venture capital firm where you'll be a valued part of a small team and have visibility across the wider business.

The role offers plenty of variety and the chance to get involved in more than traditional administration, with exposure to finance, compliance, ESG, marketing, events and technology. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, take ownership and help shape how things are done. If you're an organised, proactive all-rounder who enjoys being the glue that holds a team together, please apply below!
