Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Procurement Officer to manage procurement and supplier matters from end to end. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently assess and progress procurement requests, review commercial terms and work with senior stakeholders across Legal, Finance and Security. The role is not a coordinator or purely administrative position: the successful candidate will take ownership of procurement matters, apply sound judgement and help improve the governance and processes that sit behind them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Procurement: Own the procurement lifecycle from request and sourcing through to selection, contracting and ongoing supplier management, assessing needs independently and progressing matters with minimal oversight.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors and consultants, monitoring performance, resolving issues and ensuring value for money and service quality.
  • Contract and Commercial Review: Review and negotiate commercial terms, including MSAs, SOWs and POs, identifying risks and escalating issues to Legal and Finance where required.
  • Vendor Onboarding and Due Diligence: Lead vendor onboarding and third-party due diligence, working with Legal, Finance and Security to ensure suppliers meet risk, compliance and information security requirements.
  • Renewals and Contractor Procurement: Manage contract renewals and the procurement of contractors and consultants, tracking key dates, renegotiating terms and avoiding lapses or unplanned spend.
  • RFPs and Sourcing: Run RFP and tender processes, including preparing requirements, evaluating proposals and making clear, well-supported recommendations.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure procurement activity follows internal policies, approval thresholds and regulatory expectations, and maintain accurate contract records and audit-ready documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to procurement processes, templates, controls and reporting, helping the function scale and operate more efficiently.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Security and the wider business, providing clear advice and managing expectations.
  • Reporting and Spend Oversight: Track spend, contract status and supplier performance, and prepare regular reporting and insights for management.

Requirements:

  • c.4–7 years of relevant procurement experience, with strong hands-on exposure across the full procurement cycle.
  • Proven experience in contract and commercial review, including MSAs, SOWs and POs.
  • Experience in vendor onboarding and third-party due diligence.
  • Experience managing contract renewals and the procurement of contractors and consultants.
  • Experience running RFPs and improving procurement governance and processes.
  • Confident managing senior stakeholders across Legal, Finance and Security.
  • Able to independently assess and progress procurement matters; this is not a coordinator or predominantly administrative profile.
  • Experience in financial services, a regulated environment or a family office is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related field preferred; relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPS) is an advantage.
