Job Title: EU / SPV Accountant

Location: Luxembourg

Salary: €70,000 - €75,000 p.a.

What you'll do:

As an integral part of the finance team you will deliver a range of objectives to ensure that the day to day finance function runs smoothly with a high level of accuracy and delivery on deadlines. You will look after entities based in both Luxembourg and across other areas of Europe. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Review of monthly portfolio company and management accounts
• Liaising with the teams in international offices to ensure a steady flow of information and timely delivery of work
• Working closely with external auditors and administrators
• Preparing financial statements and preparation for audit
• Calculation and maintenance of recharge arrangements
• Cashflow management and forecasting for all EU-finance entities, invoicing & payments
• Liaising with partners on allocation of funds and management of debt facilities
• Understanding how the fund structure operates, including structuring, cashflow, accounting, taxation and reporting
• Assist and apply said concepts to the day-to-day review/management of deal related work streams with advisors
• Implementation of the transition of group entities from Local GAAP to IFRS for Group reporting purposes

Key Competencies and Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in Accounting, preferably related to alternative investment funds / private equity funds and/or audit in Luxembourg
• Strong English communication skills both verbal and written (any additional European languages a bonus)
• Understanding of Lux GAAP and IFRS
• Experience in SPV Accounting
• Experience reviewing TBs and management accounts
• Methodical; excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Enthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Excellent project management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
