We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a Big 4 firm, combined with strong UAE-specific expertise. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of audit practices, corporate tax, VAT, and day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and bank reconciliation.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist with financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Manage and maintain detailed documentation of transactions and financial processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Big 4 experience is mandatory.
• Proven accounting experience in the UAE, with a strong understanding of local regulations and tax practices.
• Proficiency in audit procedures and corporate tax planning.
• Expertise in VAT compliance and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with daily accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closings.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
