Job Summary: The client is seeking an Operations Manager with a background in hospitality and events management to streamline the operations of its catering and events services. This role demands a resourceful, experienced, and motivated professional who excels in customer service, business efficiency, and team management.

The Restaurant is committed to providing high-quality, sustainable dining experiences by sourcing only organic ingredients from UAE-based farms and its own dedicated farm, ensuring a farm-to-table approach. The Operations Manager will oversee the in-house bakery and subscription services, drive B2B partnerships, establish strategic, elegant pop- ups, and coordinate to effectively manage the shared 100 sqm in-house event space, ensuring its optimal utilization for both entities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Administration

- Collaborate with the General Manager to set strategic goals and oversee operational and sales activities.

- Manage event bookings, ensuring timely payments and smooth execution.

- Coordinate and manage the shared 100 sqm event space, allocating its usage between the restaurant and parent company based on business priorities.

- Work closely with the parent company to streamline the booking process and avoid scheduling conflicts.

- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring high performance in customer service.

- Maintain compliance with legal and organizational policies.

 

 

Sustainable Sourcing

- Oversee the sourcing of organic ingredients from UAE-based farms and the restaurant's farm.

- Collaborate with the farm team to ensure a steady supply of high-quality produce and ingredients.

- Build and maintain relationships with local farmers and suppliers to uphold sustainability standards.

Bakery and Subscriptions

- Manage the operations of the in-house bakery, ensuring consistent quality and supply.

- Develop and maintain subscription services for the restaurant's products, ensuring customer satisfaction and growth.

- Work closely with the culinary team to explore new product lines and seasonal offerings.

 

Finance

- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts with the accounts team.

- Evaluate operational efficiency and propose improvements for profitability.

Sales Development

- Develop and implement annual sales plans with defined KPIs.

- Sustain and grow a client database, ensuring consistent engagement with past, current, and potential clients.

- Maximize the utilization of the restaurant's event spaces, including the shared in- house event space, for profitability and client satisfaction.

Business Development

- Formulate strategies to enhance catering and event offerings.

- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to cross-sell services and ensure synergy

between dining and event experiences.

- Develop and nurture B2B relationships to expand the restaurant’s client base and

secure regular corporate bookings.

- Design and execute strategic pop-up dining experiences that reflect the restaurant's fine-

dining brand.

Marketing and Strategy

- Work closely with the marketing team to develop a long-term marketing strategy,

ensuring consistent branding and communication.

- Oversee promotional campaigns for catering, bakery, subscription services, and

events.

- Identify and leverage market trends to enhance the restaurant's positioning in the fine-

dining sector.

 

Essential Requirements - Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role within hospitality.

- Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

- 7+ years of management experience in hospitality or events. - Knowledge of sustainable sourcing, organic farming practices, and bakery management.

- Experience in managing shared spaces, building B2B relationships, and conceptualizing upscale events or pop-ups.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communications software. - Strong budgeting and forecasting skills. - Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

- Fluent in English /Arabic. - Ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively. - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

- Valid UAE driving license and own transport.

Reporting Structure The Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager, farm team, bakery team, marketing team, and the Operations Team to ensure strategic goals are met and the shared event space is utilized efficiently.
