Area sales manager
Job Description
Area Sales Manager – East Africa • Scope: To oversee East African markets.
The candidate can be based in either Egypt or Dubai.
Market/Accounts Management:
• Manage all sales tasks related to the customers in the assigned territories with a growth mindset.
• Prospect and develop new profitable large accounts as per the company’s sales objectives and policies.
• Learn and promote the entire product range, especially new/specialty products focusing on profitability.
• Visit the accounts/customers and circulate detailed visit reports to the management. • Prepare monthly sales report, quarterly sales forecasts and be part of annual budgeting for the region.
Team Engagement/ Management:
• Provide directions and individual guidance to the multicultural team, supporting them in achieving their individual KPIs.
• Monitor markets in terms of demand and pricing movements and consult with the team leadership in devising and implementing suitable tactics and strategies.
• Support product development team with individual and team intelligence in developing new products/business.
• Network with key converters and end users in the wider region looking for areas of enhanced cooperation.
Key Skills/ Experience / Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s degree in any technical or science stream with master’s/higher studies in business/sales management.
• 10-15 years’ experience in B2B sales of technical products, with at least 2-3 years in BOPP sales or packaging/plastics industry with very good exposure to BOPP products/application.
• Fluent English language skill (verbal and written), preferably having command on other languages like Arabic.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with working knowledge of MS PP and public speaking experience. Business Development manager

• Lead initiatives for specialty and value-added films to drive business growth.
• Identify market opportunities for new product launches and innovative solutions.
• Develop and execute high-impact projects targeting large end-users and converters and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key accounts.
• Collaborate with regional sales teams to support strategic partnerships and achieve volume growth.
• Provide technical insights to sales teams and customers for effective project execution.
• Conduct market research to identify high-potential markets and gaps.
Job Knowledge and Key Skills Required
• Deep understanding of BOPP films, specialty films, and flexible packaging applications.
• Strong awareness of market trends, customer pain points, and competitive landscape in MEA and SEA regions.
• Proven ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
• Skilled in project management and driving innovation-focused initiatives.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with large multinational customers.
• Ability to manage long-term partnerships and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Understanding of product properties and their applications in various markets.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
