Senior Project Manager (Intralogistics)

Job Summary
This is a highly specialised role, please do carefully check the requirements of this role to ensure that your experience aligns. We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with a strong background in intralogistics to lead large-scale automation and material handling projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must have current experience working for an intralogistics company and be capable of managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion.
This role is open to candidates from anywhere in the world. However, prior experience in the intralogistics industry is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of automation, warehouse, and material handling projects.
- Ensure projects are completed within scope, time, and budget constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and client stakeholders.
Financial & Risk Management
- Maintain project forecasts, monitor costs, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Proactively manage claims and contract negotiations to protect project viability.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
- Act as the key liaison between clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Oversee supplier selection, procurement processes, and contract management.
Technical & Quality Oversight
- Ensure compliance with automation, robotics, and material handling standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless system integration and performance.
Skills & Experience Required
Educational & Professional Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in project management within the intralogistics industry (this is mandatory).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering at least five large-scale automation projects.
Technical Expertise
- Extensive experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), conveyors, AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), and robotics.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Basic understanding of PLC, IoT, and AI-driven logistics solutions.
Key Competencies
✅ Strong project management skills, including scheduling and cost control.
✅ Expertise in risk assessment, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
✅ Ability to troubleshoot automation issues and optimize workflows.
✅ Experience working in fast-paced, high-tech warehouse environments.
Additional Requirements
- Must currently work for an intralogistics company (non-negotiable).
- Open to candidates from anywhere in the world—relocation support available.
- Willing to travel (up to 50%) for on-site project execution.
