Job Summary
Our client is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Financial Manager to play a pivotal role in achieving the organization’s ambitious financial target of generating AED 1 million per month. This senior leadership role requires a dynamic professional who can balance financial stewardship with business development, ensuring sustainable revenue growth while preserving the client’s commitment to nurturing the UAE’s creative economy.
The Financial Manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing financial strategies that expand revenue streams, optimize cost structures, and secure funding through partnerships, sponsorships, and alternative financial mechanisms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in revenue generation, financial forecasting, and strategic financial planning within the creative, cultural, or non-profit sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Generation C Business Development
- Develop and execute a roadmap to achieve AED 1 million in monthly revenue, leveraging existing and new financial opportunities.
- Identify and implement new revenue streams, including:
- Corporate partnerships C sponsorships: Engage with local and international brands, government entities, and high-net-worth individuals to secure sponsorship deals and strategic funding.
- Art sales C licensing: Expand revenue from art commissions, print editions, and artist licensing deals in regional and international markets.
- Membership C subscription models: Optimize the clients membership structure, introducing tiered pricing and exclusive benefits to increase retention and new memberships.
- Retail C product expansion: Develop the clients retail segment by expanding the sales of design products, art materials, and limited-edition collaborations with UAE-based artists.
- Digital revenue streams: Leverage e-commerce, NFT marketplaces, and online courses to create passive revenue sources.
- Grant applications C cultural funding: Research and secure local and international grants, public funding, and endowments to support key programs.
- Financial Planning C Budgeting
- Design and oversee annual and long-term financial plans, aligning them with the clients strategic goals.
- Lead all aspects of financial forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Conduct profitability analysis for existing and new projects, recommending adjustments to maximize ROI.
- Work with the Director and Board of Trustees to establish investment strategies, ensuring sustainable financial growth.
- Develop key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to track revenue progress and financial health.
- Cost Management C Operational Efficiency
- Ensure optimal cost structures by evaluating supplier contracts, operational expenses, and procurement strategies.
- Implement automated financial systems and digital tools to enhance financial reporting and expense tracking.
- Manage risk assessment and financial compliance, ensuring adherence to UAE’s financial regulations and tax laws.
- Streamline accounting, billing, and cash flow processes to improve efficiency and minimize revenue leakage.
- Strategic Partnerships C High-Level Negotiation
- Forge strategic alliances with corporate entities, financial institutions, and governmental organizations to fund projects and increase sponsorship revenue.
- Develop a high-level stakeholder engagement strategy, positioning the client as a key partner for creative investment.
- Work closely with curators, program managers, and marketing teams to align financial strategies with exhibition programming, artist residencies, and educational initiatives.
- Leadership C Team Development
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a results-driven and collaborative work culture.
- Train internal teams on financial literacy, budget management, and revenue optimization.
- Drive continuous learning and innovation in financial strategies, keeping up with global trends in cultural finance and creative entrepreneurship.
Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Achieving AED 1 million in monthly revenue within the first 12-18 months.
- Increasing corporate sponsorship and grant funding by 20-30% annually.
- Expanding membership and retail revenue by 30% year-on-year.
- Reducing operational costs while maintaining high-quality program delivery.
- Developing at least three new scalable revenue streams in the first year.
Ǫualifications C Experience
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics (CPA, CFA, or ACCA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in financial leadership, ideally within the cultural, creative, luxury, or non-profit sectors.
- Proven success in business development, revenue scaling, and corporate fundraising.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in financial modeling and strategic planning.
- Deep understanding of grant funding, sponsorship models, and creative industry economics.
- Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with UAE financial regulations, VAT, and tax compliance.
