Salary: 20,000 – 35,000 AED/month (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Private Assistant / House Manager. This role would suit some- one studious and highly disciplined, both a self-starter and a completer/finisher who thrives on performing to a high standard and undertakes their work with professionalism, discretion, hospitality and care.
Working within a small team and based mostly from your home office and the Principals’ residences, you will be working on a variety of household management tasks in a methodical and exacting manner as well as handling several personal tasks with a sense of urgency and excellence. A combination of good judgement, conviction in decision making, pro-active communications and efficiency in task management underpins the success of this role.
Role Characteristics
- You are qualified to degree level and have at least 10 years of experience supporting a private individual in a similar role, adding value to everything you undertake.
- You are structured in your thinking and have a natural ability to anticipate needs and present solutions to issues when and before they arise.
- You take pride in driving matters through to completion in a timely manner whether singular tasks or projects.
- You thrive on accuracy, you follow through with your word and are approachable and fair as well as highly street smart.
- You find ways to add value without being asked, you are a resourceful problem solver and offer solutions with ease and consistency.
- You have significant levels of tact and discretion, remain calm under pressure, you guard your Principal’s privacy and understand what it means to work with confidentiality.
- You are highly articulate and self-disciplined. You are succinct in your communication and can convey much meaning in short prose.
- Whilst your training and early career was in corporate roles, recent experience and preference is for private and you are looking for a 5-10 year commitment.
House Manager – Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day operations of residence(s), ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Recruiting and coordinating household staff to ensure smooth running of residence(s).
- Arranging and supervising contractors, acting as gatekeeper at the Principal’s home.
- Handling purchases, arranging groceries or household products, running errands.
- Liaising with the Finance team on property management related duties including supplier evaluation and property expense reconciliations.
Personal Assistant – Key Responsibilities
- Daily, weekly and monthly Planning with outstanding management.
- Organising anything needed by the Principals or their extended family which may include. but not limited to making appointments, arranging travel or events, research and making recommendations, running errands, drafting e-mails and liaising with external parties.
What you must have
- Degree-educated.
- Formal training in any area that demonstrates grit and discipline.
- Natural and friendly with a positive attitude, calm and level-headed.
- Proven experience as a Private Assistant/House Manager in a similar role and understands the variable nature and demands and ‘hats’ required of this hybrid position.
- Proven corporate experience in relevant sectors such as Luxury Hospitality, Property Management, Property Legal or Property Finance.
- Proven longevity (minimum 4 years) in at least two prior positions.
- Pro-active and a natural self-starter, highly transparent and values frequent reporting.
- A 24/7 mindset and takes pride in being highly responsive.
- Proven professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
