Salary: up to AED 35,000

House Manager
Overview:
To ensure the seamless operation of the principal’s household through organization, leadership, and expertise, while delivering exceptional service standards. The House Manager will oversee all household staff, manage service protocols, and create comprehensive household manuals for the principal’s properties, to ensure consistency, efficiency, and excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • Ensure flawless daily operation of the principal’s primary residence, whilst delivering immaculate service.
    • Uphold and implement the highest standards of etiquette, discretion, and professionalism, welcoming and anticipating key principals’ and guests’ needs.
    • Produce and maintain updated comprehensive household manuals, including SOPs for all staff and household operations, ensuring strict adherence.
    • Maintain inventory of household supplies, groceries, and equipment, ordering and replenishing items, as needed.
    • Oversee all property systems, including security, communications, and smart-home technologies, liaising with technical contractors, as required.
    • Proactively manage and schedule household maintenance, supervising external contractors, and ensuring work is completed to the highest specification with minimal disruption to the principal and family. Monitoring SLAs and escalating, if required.
    • Assist in managing household budgets, insurances, expenses, staff payroll, and supplier invoicing; maintaining detailed records, and reporting to the principal and wider team when requested.
    • Prepare the principals’ other residences worldwide ahead of travel, ensuring properties are fully staffed, stocked, and operating to the same elite standard.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage household staff to consistently exceed expectations in service delivery.
    • Assist in the recruitment, training, and management of household staff, ordering uniforms, and maintaining a culture of precision and proactivity.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews with household staff, providing tailored coaching to maintain elite household standard.
    • Manage table setting and meal service with meticulous care and elegance, taking inventory for the principals’ extensive wine catalogue and preserving the property cellar.
    • Maintain, conserve, and appropriately care for all artwork, sculptures and articles of value within the principal’s properties.
    • Organize and maintain the family’s wardrobe, including bespoke care of special garments, packing, unpacking, and keeping record of clothing collections.
    • Personally oversee and carry out exceptional service for formal and informal events, both inside and outside of the principal’s residences, providing exceptional dining and hospitality experiences for all attendees.
    • Drive the principal and family as occasionally required, assisting with logistics and the daily management of the family’s calendar and appointments.
    • Run personal errands and assist the principal and family with ad-hoc tasks, as required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in private household management and service for UHNW families

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience managing household staff or hospitality team

  • Experience providing or managing formal dining and wine service
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, delegate, and maintain high standards of service

  • Strong knowledge of household operations and protocol

  • High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality

  • Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to anticipate principal needs and act with autonomy and initiativ

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment

  • Flexible to travel when required

  • Familiarity with international household standards and multi-cultural teams
