An innovative and fast-paced organization committed to excellence in research and technology is seeking a Office Manager to join its Amsterdam office. This role is a key part of the Office Management & Tech Services team and is designed to ensure smooth administrative operations and an outstanding employee experience.
This is a dynamic, in-office position that requires a proactive, service-oriented individual with a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a curiosity for tech.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary contact at the front desk, managing day-to-day administrative activities including visitor reception, handling deliveries, vendor coordination, phone support, and general correspondence
- Oversee conference room scheduling and setup, especially for recruiting sessions and VIP guests, ensuring all tech equipment is functional
- Coordinate catering services and manage setup/cleanup for in-office meals and meetings
- Deliver exceptional support to visiting employees, vendors, and candidates, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment
- Support office operations including vendor and supply management, housekeeping coordination, mail/shipping, and general maintenance tasks
- Help plan and execute internal office events, employee engagement activities, and manage logistics around external outings or wellness initiatives
- Be open to training and hands-on experience in basic IT support: setting up new hires, resolving minor issues with Windows/Mac systems and mobile devices
- Replace or troubleshoot basic hardware like monitors, keyboards, and peripherals; assist in desk moves and reconnections
- Display a willingness to learn and grow your understanding of workplace tech, supporting colleagues in a friendly and solutions-focused manner
