Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and analytical Compensation and Benefits Manager to lead the planning, development, and execution of competitive and compliant compensation and benefits programs. The role is pivotal in maintaining internal equity, driving performance-based reward strategies, and aligning with market best practices to attract and retain top talent.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization's grading and job evaluation systems.

  • Conduct regular compensation benchmarking and market analysis to ensure pay structures remain competitive.

  • Design and administer benefits programs, including insurance, allowances, and non-cash perks.

  • Oversee salary reviews, promotions, and performance-based pay initiatives.

  • Partner with external consultants and vendors for survey data, benefits administration, and advisory.

  • Manage the compensation elements of the payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

  • Prepare and maintain the annual payroll and benefits budget, in coordination with Finance and senior HR leadership.

  • Forecast headcount changes, promotions, and benefit adjustments, integrating them into the budget planning process.

  • Generate compensation reports, impact analysis, and Total Reward Statements (TRS) for internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee the implementation of performance appraisal systems and align individual performance outcomes with compensation strategies.

  • Collaborate with managers and leadership to embed a performance-driven culture across the organization.

  • Draft and review compensation and benefits-related policies, ensuring alignment with local employment laws and global HR best practices.

  • Liaise with legal advisors to clarify and address policy-related ambiguities or compliance issues.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the HR Information System (HRIS) with a focus on compensation and benefits modules.

  • Manage system enhancements, data integrity, and reporting related to employee compensation information.

  • Build strong working relationships with department heads, insurance brokers, consultants, and external service providers.

  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure seamless HR operations and compliance.

  • Lead or contribute to HR projects such as job evaluation reviews, compensation redesigns, and benefits optimization.

  • Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of assigned projects, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.

  • Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory frameworks and organizational governance.

  • Support risk management by ensuring compensation practices are auditable, transparent, and aligned with corporate standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

  • Professional certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or GRP are highly desirable.

  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on compensation, benefits, or total rewards.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and HRIS platforms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working in financial services is a plus.
