Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our client in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and extensive experience in building and construction projects. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting to ensure timely delivery and efficient execution of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project schedules and work plans using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather essential data and prepare baseline programs.

• Monitor project progress against baseline schedules, identifying delays and recommending recovery plans.

• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.

• Analyze project performance and provide forecasting for time and resource requirements.

• Participate in regular site and coordination meetings to discuss progress and resolve planning-related issues.

• Evaluate contractor and subcontractor schedules, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline.

• Support the claims team with time impact analysis and delay assessment.

• Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in planning roles within the building and construction industry.

• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project execution plans, and scheduling techniques.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

• Experience in the UAE construction sector is highly preferred.
