Salary AED 60,000 - 75,000
Position Overview
Our client a PE firm are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to assume leadership of the firm’s financial affairs and to build and operate a full-service financial agency within the organisation.
This position is both strategic and operational: the CFO will be responsible for financial oversight of internal activities, while also establishing a scalable agency-style service unit to support the firms investment vehicles and, eventually, external clients. The CFO will initially operate independently, with the expectation to recruit and manage a high-performing finance team of 10 to 20 professionals in subsequent phases.
This role includes partnership status within the General Partnership and offers the opportunity to shape a key revenue-generating vertical of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership and Oversight
- Oversee the financial operations of the firms internal entities, including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and fund flow management
- Design and implement financial models for in-house projects, investment scenarios, and group-level performance monitoring
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting, reconciliation, and compliance across all jurisdictions
- Coordinate with the Legal & Compliance team to support future licensing processes (e.g., AMF in Canada)
Development of Financial Services Agency
- Design the structure and service offering of an internal financial services agency to serve the group’s operating and investment entities
- Provide accounting, corporate structuring, forecasting, and audit preparation services to internal clients
- Lead business development efforts to expand the client base to external partners via referrals, M&A integration, and strategic relationships
- Establish operational procedures, pricing models, and performance metrics for the agency
Team Building and Management
- Recruit, train, and oversee a Dubai-based finance team aligned with the agency’s growth trajectory
- Develop workflows, controls, and reporting systems to ensure accuracy, accountability, and scalability
- Foster a results-driven culture grounded in technical excellence, reliability, and discretion
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within private equity, investment management, or multi-entity international structures
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, accounting oversight, capital flow management, and treasury operations
- Previous experience in building or leading a service-oriented finance unit or shared services center
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and a strong understanding of financial technology infrastructure
- Professional designation required: CPA, CA, or CFA (or equivalent)
Key Objectives – First 12 Months
- Deliver robust financial projections and operating models for all internal projects
- Launch a fully operational financial agency serving the firms internal business units
- Win and onboard the agency’s first external mandates
- Recruit and operationalise the agency’s initial finance team
