Finance Controller

On behalf of our client, a Life Sciences business based near St Gallen, we are recruitig a Financial Controller to join their global Head office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Responsibility and collaboration in the preparation of monthly / quarterly and annual financial statements
• Cash Management
• Responsibility for VAT submissions
• Responsible for asset accounting and finance leasing
• Liaise with banks, insurance companies, authorities and auditors for accounting and tax purposes.
• Support the Head of FR&A in the preparation of the consolidated annual, quarterly and monthly financial statements for the Group in both UK and Swiss GAAP and monitoring the financial audit
• Continuouly look to improve  the processes within the finance function
• Support the Head of FR&A with a focus on accounting principles, taxes and cash management

WHO YOU ARE

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Financial Controller or equivalent position.
• Experience with Swiss GAAP and IFRS/ UK GAAP, tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Fluency in German and English is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams across multiple locations
• Knowledge in the areas of cash management and financial administration
• Ideally you will have proficiency in ERP systems, especially SAP
• Experience in an international organization is an advantage
• Analytical and detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
