Assistant Nanny (Spanish Speaker) - HNW Family
Job Description
Assistant Nanny (Spanish Speaker) – HNW Family
Tampa, FL
Full Time, Permanent
Compensation: $90,000 - 110,000 p.a., plus benefits
My client, a high-net-worth private family, is seeking an experienced and travel-flexible career nanny, ideally a native Spanish speaker (fluency in English is required). The nanny will provide nurturing, structured, and values-driven care for three children, ages 4, 6, and 9.
Candidates must have experience and/or advanced education in behavior therapy, conflict resolution, and managing challenging behaviors. The role requires confidence in caring for multiple high-energy children, along with the ability to support emotional regulation and teach positive boundary-setting. The nanny must be available to travel internationally with the family for 1–3 weeks at a time.
This role will work under the guidance of, and report to, the Head Nanny. It is essential to follow the Head Nanny’s established processes and to help foster a positive, nurturing environment for the children. The nanny will also collaborate closely with the children’s Tutor on a regular basis.
Familiarity with HNW households is essential, as is the ability to maintain the highest level of discretion.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Communicate exclusively in Spanish with the children.
- Travel internationally and domestically (5-6 times per year) with the family to provide childcare.
- Report to, and work closely with, the Head Nanny and the Domestic Chief of Staff on all matters.
- Ensure good nutrition, hygiene, and limited screen time per parental guidelines.
- Facilitate a balance between schoolwork, extracurriculars, and downtime, collaborating with a tutor if necessary.
- Manage sibling conflicts with patience and implement behavior management methods.
- Foster creativity through reading, art, gardening, and other engaging activities.
- Plan structured daily activities, ensuring a smooth and organized schedule.
- Encourage independence in daily routines, such as dressing, eating, and tidying up.
- Maintain current medical and dental appointments.
- Drive children to and from school, appointments, and activities.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experienced career nanny accustomed to high-net-worth households.
- Adept at conflict resolution and behavior management. Advantageous if RBT certified (Registered Behavior Therapist).
- Native Spanish speaker, fluent in English.
- Experience caring for children aged 2-9.
- Comfortable with a pet dog in the home.
- Confident driver with a clean US driver’s license.
- Holds a valid passport and is willing to travel with the family as needed (5-6 times a year, international/domestic travel).
- Strong swimmer.
- Highly organized, emotionally controlled, and able to create a warm but structured environment.
- Must pass a background check and credit check.
