Payroll Manager

Location: London, West End (hybrid, 2 days onsite)
Employment Type: Temporary, full-time (2 to 6 weeks with potential to extend)
Department: Finance, reporting to Group Financial Controller
Salary: £19-£24 per hour depending on experience 

We are looking for a full-time Payroll Manager to join our client on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment. This is an international business so we are looking for someone with solid payroll experience across different regions and excellent attention to detail. 

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage a broad range of payroll tasks across multiple regions (primarily the UK, with smaller payrolls in Europe and the Middle East).
• Drive payroll compliance, system implementation, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with international subsidiaries to ensure timely payroll changes and updates.
• Provide guidance on payroll and employment tax matters to finance teams, HR departments, and outsourced service providers.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and adherence to employment tax legislation across all jurisdictions.

Who You Are

We are looking for:

• Experience working with an outsourced payroll provider as well as running internal payroll
• UK and overseas payroll experience, including strong knowledge of statutory requirements.
• Knowledge of salary sacrifice pension schemes.
• Attention to details and ability to understand and resolve complex issues.
• Competent Excel skills with experience of managing large data sets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised.
