Accountant – International Law Firm

Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 18,000–20,000 per month

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Dubai finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong end-to-end accounting experience to support the day-to-day financial operations of a busy professional services environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and the smooth running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger reconciliations and month-end close.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Process payroll and employee expense claims.
• Ensure VAT and tax compliance in line with UAE regulations.
• Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Produce financial analysis and reports to support business decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–7 years' accounting experience, ideally within a professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle from transactional accounting through to month-end reporting.
• Experience preparing management accounts, reconciliations and financial reports.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT and tax regulations.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is advantageous.
