Our client is a growing professional services business in the UAE, supporting SMEs and businesses with their accounting, tax, and compliance requirements. They are looking to appoint an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team and take responsibility for managing client accounts, overseeing accounting and tax deliverables, and providing high-quality advisory support.

This is a broad and client-facing role, offering the opportunity to work closely with business owners and senior stakeholders while also contributing to team development and the company's continued growth. The ideal candidate will have strong UAE accounting and tax experience, with particular exposure to free zone companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly accounting for a portfolio of clients.

• Prepare and review VAT and UAE Corporate Tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Advise clients on accounting best practices, VAT, Corporate Tax, and relevant UAE regulations.

• Act as a trusted day-to-day point of contact for clients, managing queries and providing practical solutions.

• Review client accounts and identify potential accounting, tax, and compliance issues.

• Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide commercially focused accounting and tax advice.

• Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting the quality and consistency of service delivery.

• Support the onboarding of new clients and ensure a smooth transition into ongoing accounting and tax services.

• Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and contribute to new business generation.

• Attend networking events and industry functions to build relationships and promote the company's services.

• Stay up to date with developments in UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting regulations.

Experience & Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant, Tax Advisor, or equivalent relevant professional qualification.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, tax, advisory, or a related role.

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.

• Fluency in Arabic and English.

• Eligibility to sit for the FTA Tax Agent examination.

• Strong client management and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of client deliverables.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a similar accounting or tax advisory position in the UAE.

• Completion of the FTA Tax Agent examination.

• Experience working with UAE free zone companies.

• Exposure to businesses within marketing, e-commerce, SaaS, or technology sectors.

• Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

• Previous experience mentoring or managing junior team members.
