Assistant Accounts Manager

Location: Dubai
Working Days: 6 days per week (Monday – Saturday)
Salary: AED 12,000 - AED 19,000

Position Overview

The Assistant Accounts Manager will support the Finance Manager and Directors in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing compliance, managing reporting, and ensuring timely banking and payment processes. The position also requires strong leadership to supervise and motivate the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Books of Accounts: Ensure day-to-day accounting entries are accurate and supported with proper documentation.

  • Banking & Treasury: Oversee transactions, reconciliations, and optimize fund usage.

  • Accounts Payable & Payroll: Ensure timely and compliant vendor payments and payroll processing.

  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor collections, balances, reporting, and ensure proper KYC documentation.

  • Audit & Compliance: Support annual audits, finalization of accounts (IFRS), VAT compliance, and liaise with external auditors.

  • Property & Insurance: Ensure timely renewals, proper documentation, and claims management.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of 5–6, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

  • Policies & Processes: Develop and maintain accounting policies, SOPs, and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

  • CA qualification mandatory.

  • 8+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in team management.

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, VAT compliance, and banking procedures.

  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and accounting software (e.g., Tally).

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently.
