Senior Account Executive / Associate Vice President Corporate, Media & Financial Communications
New York, NY (Hybrid)
· Senior Account Executive: $80,000–$95,000 base
· Associate Vice President: $140,000–$170,000 base
(Final offer dependent on experience; bonus/commission opportunities available)
My client is a boutique, growth-oriented PR and communications consultancy with deep roots in financial services, sustainability, and B2B technology. The New York team works with asset and wealth managers, alternative investment firms, fintech’s, and corporates on high-impact, integrated communications programs.
This role offers the opportunity to join an entrepreneurial, collaborative New York agency while being part of an award-winning global firm headquartered in London. Depending on experience, the position will be appointed at the Senior Account Executive or Associate Vice President level.
The Role:
You will play a key role in delivering integrated communications programs, managing client relationships, and driving strong execution across media relations, content, and thought leadership.
At the Senior Account Executive level, the role focuses on hands-on execution and emerging leadership. At the Associate Vice President level, the role includes senior client counsel, team leadership, and contribution to agency growth and new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver integrated communications strategies with measurable results
- Manage day-to-day client activity and participate in or lead client calls
- Build and maintain relationships with financial and business media
- Create compelling content including press releases, bylines, and social posts
- Translate complex financial and technical topics into clear narratives
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to new business initiatives and agency growth
- Use AI and PR tools to improve productivity and outputs
Qualifications:
Senior Account Executive
- 3–5 years of agency PR or strategic communications experience
Associate Vice President
- 5–7 years of agency experience, including financial services communications
For both levels
- Strong writing, media relations, and client-facing skills
- Understanding of financial markets and current affairs
- Proactive, collaborative, and results-driven approach
