Business Development Manager / Senior Executive (International Law firm)

Role Summary / Purpose

This position offers strong opportunities for growth and career progression within legal marketing and business development. Based in Dubai and forming part of the MENA Marketing and Business Development team, the role involves close collaboration with regional stakeholders as well as colleagues across an international network.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager/Senior Executive, you will play a key role in supporting and driving marketing and business development initiatives across the MENA region.

Working closely with senior regional and global Business Development leadership, you will contribute to a wide range of initiatives including pitch development, campaigns, content creation, directory submissions, and client relationship support. The role also involves collaboration across different practice areas and offices to identify synergies and share best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting practice groups in identifying opportunities and addressing market-specific challenges across MENA
  • Monitoring client needs, market trends, and industry developments to inform strategic business development initiatives
  • Assisting in the execution of regional marketing and business development strategies, engaging stakeholders to ensure effective implementation
  • Identifying cross-regional opportunities by connecting insights across offices, sectors, and client relationships
  • Contributing to the development and execution of client plans, including tracking progress and outcomes
  • Coordinating and delivering events, sponsorships, and external engagements to enhance market visibility
  • Supporting client feedback initiatives by gathering insights from pitches and matters, and identifying potential opportunities
  • Conducting market, sector, and competitor research, particularly across the UAE, KSA, and broader GCC
  • Preparing high-quality proposals and pitch materials, often within tight deadlines
  • Maintaining and updating marketing collateral, credentials, and experience records
  • Developing content, campaigns, and submissions for directories and awards to strengthen market positioning
  • Exploring the use of AI and emerging technologies to enhance research, efficiency, and delivery
  • Assisting with budget tracking and allocation for regional marketing and business development activities
  • Providing support across the wider team when needed
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to junior team members on active projects

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Approximately 5–7+ years of experience within a professional services environment, ideally within a legal or similar advisory setting
  • Familiarity with marketing and business development tools and databases
  • Strong interpersonal awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships across teams and seniority levels
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Professional integrity and a proactive, curious mindset
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including outside standard hours when required
  • Exposure to generative AI tools is advantageous but not essential
