Client Onboarding Specialist (6-Month Contract) – Zurich, Switzerland
Tiger Recruitment are seeking an experienced Client Onboarding Specialist to join a leading private banking institution on a 6-month contract based in Zurich, Switzerland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented financial services professional with experience in client onboarding, account opening, account migration, or relationship management support. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a large-scale account migration project, ensuring seamless client onboarding, regulatory compliance, and asset transfers within strict project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end client onboarding and account opening processes
- Review account documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and process account opening documentation
- Perform data input and account setup within core banking systems
- Coordinate and instruct asset transfers as part of client account migrations
- Partner closely with Relationship Managers, AML, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Support the migration of client accounts while maintaining exceptional service standards
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of onboarding activities
- Identify potential risks or documentation gaps and proactively resolve issues
- Ensure all client information is handled with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' experience within financial services
- Previous experience in Client Onboarding, Account Migration, Private Banking Operations, Account Opening, or Relationship Manager/Client Service Support
- Experience working within a private banking or wealth management environment
- Familiarity with core banking, custody, or order management systems
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, FATCA/CRS, GDPR, and other relevant jurisdictional requirements
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive client information
Preferred
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Previous experience supporting legal entity or large-scale account migration projects, including post-Brexit migrations
- Additional European languages are advantageous
- Experience working within a Big Four consultancy or transformation/change management environment
