Client Onboarding Specialist (6-Month Contract) Zurich, Switzerland

Tiger Recruitment are seeking an experienced Client Onboarding Specialist to join a leading private banking institution on a 6-month contract based in Zurich, Switzerland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented financial services professional with experience in client onboarding, account opening, account migration, or relationship management support. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a large-scale account migration project, ensuring seamless client onboarding, regulatory compliance, and asset transfers within strict project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end client onboarding and account opening processes
  • Review account documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare and process account opening documentation
  • Perform data input and account setup within core banking systems
  • Coordinate and instruct asset transfers as part of client account migrations
  • Partner closely with Relationship Managers, AML, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support the migration of client accounts while maintaining exceptional service standards
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of onboarding activities
  • Identify potential risks or documentation gaps and proactively resolve issues
  • Ensure all client information is handled with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within financial services
  • Previous experience in Client Onboarding, Account Migration, Private Banking Operations, Account Opening, or Relationship Manager/Client Service Support
  • Experience working within a private banking or wealth management environment
  • Familiarity with core banking, custody, or order management systems
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks including MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, FATCA/CRS, GDPR, and other relevant jurisdictional requirements
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive client information

Preferred

  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Previous experience supporting legal entity or large-scale account migration projects, including post-Brexit migrations
  • Additional European languages are advantageous
  • Experience working within a Big Four consultancy or transformation/change management environment
