Overview

A leading property-focused professional services business is seeking a Commercial Accountant on an interim basis with the potential to go permanent. This role blends strong technical accounting with commercial insight, supporting leadership on performance, pricing, cost control, and growth. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance operations and team output
• Deliver accurate, timely month-end and management accounts
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Produce P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reporting with clear commentary
• Maintain financial controls, reconciliations, and working capital
• Support cashflow forecasting, including rolling forecasts
• Partner with operational teams to improve revenue and margins
• Assist with financial modelling, reporting improvements, and audits
• Contribute to system and process enhancements

Candidate Profile

• ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist
• Strong technical accounting and commercial experience
• Background in SME or multi-site environments
• Experience managing a small team
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Confident communicator with stakeholders
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
• ERP experience ideally with knowledge of NetSuite
