Domestic Couple - Live-in - Starting May/June 2026

Location: Berkshire

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 gross per annum

Working Days & hours: 5 days per week, 08:00-17:00 (weekend cover required but not every weekend)

Accommodation: Modern 4-bed 2-bathroom independent cottage on the estate included with private access, a garage and garden.

All bills paid (bar food) including rates, internet, council tax. Pets (preferably no cats) & Dependants considered on a case by case basis

Job Summary:

This role will support a down to earth couple acres their 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom Georgian property sent on 150+ acres with woodland, lake, tenanted properties and unique selection of outdoor sculptures. As a couple, you will cover all housekeeping/family cooking duties and support the wider estate team with grounds and garden maintenance. You will be required to cover weekends however the clients travel frequently; in such instances you will work a typical Monday to Friday. Excellent 4-bedroom accommodation available with private garden & garage.

Job specification:

Housekeeper

· Day to day cleaning and occasional deep cleaning of a 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom property

· Care of high-end art & antiques

· Family laundry

· Family cooking (wholesome, healthy food), there are no allergies or dietary requirements, and they like to utilise ingredients from the kitchen garden and orchard

· Scope for some outdoor work in the gardens etc, if this wider remit is something of interest

Assistant Gardener/Handy person/Estate Manager:

· This would suit someone who is looking for an outdoors-based role working on the 150+ acre estate supporting the Farm Manager and the Head Gardener

· Working along the current Estate Manager, who organises multiple maintenance contracts, and maintains a gym, an indoor swimming pool, plus preparation of fire logs, car and window cleaning

· All round grounds/garden maintenance role (Horticulture qualifications are not required)

Candidate specification:

· The ideal couple for this role will fit well in an informal environment and can integrate with a long-standing team across the house, garden and farm

· Must have previous experience working together in a similar role within private households

· One side will have experience undertaking hands on grounds/garden maintenance

· One side will be open to undertaking family cooking and have experience caring for high value items in private households

· Both candidates will need to be confident drivers

· Animal friendly (Dogs)

· Excellent references essential and will be taken up prior to appointment by telephone

· Must be English speaking

· Trustworthy & reliable

· Proactive, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude

· Non-smokers
