Executive Assistant – Head of School & Governing Board

Prestigious and well-respected school in North London

5 days in office
8:00am – 4:00pm
£45,934 pro rata 
mid April 2026 start 

Duration: 10 month FTC  

 

A fantastic opportunity for a polished, calm, and highly organised Executive Assistant to join a prestigious and well-respected independent school, supporting both the Head of School and the Board of Trustees. This is a busy, high-touch role requiring warmth, professionalism, and the ability to stay composed under pressure.

What You'll Do

Support to the Head of School

  • Manage a busy diary and prioritise requests to maximise the Head’s time.
  • Prepare correspondence, documents, meeting packs and presentations.
  • Handle enquiries with discretion, diplomacy and exceptional service.
  • Coordinate internal meetings, events, retreats and occasional travel.
  • Maintain accurate records, process expenses and support compliance.

Support to the Board of Trustees

  • Coordinate the Board meeting calendar, logistics and documentation.
  • Manage the Board portal and ensure all materials are up to date.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes and track actions/resolutions.
  • Support trustee onboarding, communications and occasional events.
  • Assist with governance records and compliance tasks.

 

Who You Are

  • Experienced EA/PA supporting Director-level or Executive-level roles.
  • Warm, friendly, adaptable and unflappable in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially written.
  • High levels of discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organisational and technical skills (Google Workspace ideal).
  • Positive, service-oriented, quietly confident and proactive.
  • Able to represent the school’s core values of kindness and respect.
  • Desirable: experience in an educational setting or with Board administration.
  • DBS certificate
