6 month contract (possible contract - permanent)
£75,000 - £120,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
A leading UK organisation within the Business Services sector is seeking a highly capable, driven and adaptable Financial Controller to take ownership of preparing company budgets, implementing them across divisions, and monitoring performance. What you will do:
- Prepare detailed organisation budget implementation for 2026 following the previous year’s templates.
- Develop accurate cash flow forecasts for 2026.
- Implement budgets across departments, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Monitor budget adherence and performance across cost and revenue lines.
- Engage with budget holders to understand variances, drivers, and divisional intricacies.
- Build strong relationships with budget holders.
- Ensure clarity of financial processes and provide guidance where needed.
- Review existing finance process and identify opportunities to improve them and enhance systems and processes where appropriate (longer-term prospect).
What you will have:
- Qualified ACCA, ACA, specifically, with solid grounding in accountancy.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance, budgeting, or financial management, with hands on responsibility for financial reporting, forecasting, and budget preparation.
- Experience in roles such as Project Accountant, Finance Manager, or Financial Controller.
- Demonstrated experience preparing budgets, analysing financial statements, and presenting insights to management teams to support strategic decisions.
- Involvement in business transformation projects, system implementations, or process re-engineering initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive solutions in fast-paced or dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical experience, attention to detail, and a history of delivering actionable financial insights to manage spending.
